Arrival Information

We look forward to seeing you at UK Colloids 2017 on Monday 10 July – Wednesday 12 July at Manchester Central, Manchester, UK

Below you will find some practical details to assist your arrival.


For those of you who registered to attend the Sunday evening pre-registration drinks reception here are some details. If you didn’t select this event but would like to attend please email me ASAP.

There is a 24hr NCP car park on site. Directly below the building.

There are lifts/escalators/stairs from the car park up to the ground level.


Registration will be open at 08:00am and the conference will start at 08:50am.


The dinner is included in the conference fee but when you registered you will have informed us if you are attending. We need these numbers for catering and security information. Please email me ASAP if you wish to amend your registration

Coaches depart from 6.45pm from The Bridgewater Hall (map in programme book in your delegate pack)

For those of you giving a talk. Please check your day, time and room on the programme. Please can we ask you load and check your presentation on the laptop provided in the appropriate room. There will be a technician available if you need any assistance. If you could load it in plenty of time either the morning or the break before your session.

If you use a Mac and would prefer to use that. Please ensure you bring the relevant adaptors. As the venue do not have these available.


For those of you confirmed to present a poster please can you place it on a board as soon as you arrive. Poster boards will be available to use from the morning. Velcro pads will be available from the registration desk.

The boards are A0 2m high x 1m wide they are suitable for portrait only.

*Please note these boards are not suitable for the cloth style of posters as the Velcro doesn’t seem to hold them and we are not allowed to use pins on these boards.*

Please remove your poster at the lunch break on Wednesday 12th July.


For those of you giving a flash poster. You have exactly 3 mins. Please prepare your slides and load them onto the laptop in Charter Suite one in a break ahead of the session.

**We have one free slot for a flash poster presentation** - this will go to the first person to email me back.


You will have let me know of any dietary requirements on your registration form. If you have given specific requirements please identify yourself to the catering staff.
